The Founding Committee
Chair
Ian Chiverton
Ian has supported Portsmouth since he was a child. A men's season ticket holder for 20 seasons and has attended over 750 Portsmouth games. He started to attended Pompey Women matches in 2017 with a hope to get his then 6yo daughter Abby into football. They were instantly hooked and have only missed a handful of women's games home and away in the 7 seasons since.

To assist promoting Portsmouth Women he started to Vlog matches with Abby for their YouTube channel Pompey Women Vlogs. To date they have published over 130 match day vlogs. He has also appeared regularly on Express FM's football hour to talk about the women's team and on occasions has joined their match commentary team. He has also written many articles for media outlets about Portsmouth Women and has assisted the club keeping appearance and goal stats for the last 6 seasons.

Ian and Abby featured in the Neil Allen book "Pompey, The island city with a football club for a heart" which covered their story supporting the women's team.

Ian has been an advocate for Women’s football for many years and is a Portsmouth FC Her Game Too Advocate.

“I’m very excited to be working with the Founding Committee to get the Portsmouth Women Supporters Club up and running, Women’s football is seeing remarkable growth at the moment so now is a perfect time to start a Supporters Club”
Vice Chair
Abbie Richardson
Abbie was born at St Mary’s hospital Portsmouth, and, as her dad told her, ‘if you’re born at St Mary’s you support Portsmouth - that’s the way it is’!
Her first game at Fratton Park was with her dad and brother in the early 80’s. Fast forward 40+ yrs and she is a season ticket holder for both the men’s and women’s teams travelling to all home and away games with her son (also born at St Mary’s and avoiding the pull of his Leicester City supporting dad!)
Abbie started following the women’s team after the first Covid lockdown, at first just to watch live football as the men still weren’t playing. However, the pull of the Pompey team was too great, and watching every home game soon became almost every away game too for the last 3 seasons!
Abbie brings her project and team management experience to the committee as Vice Chair.
"Being a founder member of the supporters’ group committee is a massive privilege. I hope we are able to put in the foundation work to grow a supporters group that draws the club and supporters together for the benefit of our brilliant team. PUPW!"
Secretary
Susie Chiverton
Like her husband Ian, Susie started following Pompey Women in an attempt to get their daughter Abby into football and she has been an avid fan ever since. She loves the passion, enthusiasm and togetherness of following Portsmouth.

Susie, Ian and their children Abby and William are all season ticket holders for the Women’s team and have sponsored Captain Hannah Haughton since she joined the club.
Susie brings her skills to the roll of secretary from her day job working in University Administration.
“I am excited and feel honoured to be able to represent the members through this role and be part of this very special community of people and passionate fan base”
Treasurer
Brad Donachie
Brad, is a lifelong Blue and Portsmouth resident and has supported the team for over 40 years. He was bought up on stories from his father’s memories of the championship winning teams and all the greats that played for Portsmouth.
Brad has always loved being at Fratton Park. Occasionally sneaking in as a 10 year old without the parents knowing!
It is a passion that he feels lucky enough to share with his children.
"It has been fantastic to see the progress of the women’s game and to see its growth from grassroots up to the professional level. It is great to be able to share this passion with my daughter, you will see us in the endless cheesy chip queues at WLP!"
Media
Will Jones
Will has been a Blue for as long as he can remember and has been a season ticket holder alongside family at Fratton Park for more than 10 Years.
He has followed the Women's team after attending his first game back in 2018 and has since become a regular match-goer Post-Lockdown.
His technology know how has helped the committee set up and run not only this website but also our Social Media pages.
“I am proud that I am able to represent the amazing supporters of this club through this role on the Founding Committee. My hopes are to help the Supporters Club grow and encourage more fans to get involved and enjoy every aspect of the women’s game”
