Over the last couple of weeks, we have been in discussion with Portsmouth FC and Lucketts about away travel and away game ticketing.

Away Travel

At our Supporters Club launch event we were delighted to hear that Portsmouth FC have committed to putting on an away supporter’s coach for every league match this season.   We believe this is a Women’s Championship first and we are grateful to the club for doing this.  We would be grateful if supporters could consider using the clubs’ supporters coach if it is suitable for you.  We will also link in with the club on a match by match basis about potential coaches to cup games.

At the Supporters Club launch event the clubs Head of Football Brooke Chaplen was asked about the leaving times for coaches this season after it was noted that the Charlton coach was leaving quite early.  The PWSC followed up with Portsmouth FC about this, and they raised this with Lucketts.  An agreement in principle has been made with Lucketts that away coaches will now leave with the aim to arrive 1hours before kick off with an additional 30 mins added for traffic.  An example of this is if an away game is 2 hours away, the coach will aim to leave approx. 3h 30mins before kick off.   There will need to be some flexibility in this depending on the number of stops required or heavy traffic due to road closures.  This arrangement will NOT BE in place for the Charlton game and that coach will leave at the originally planned time.

Away Game Ticketing

One of the areas the PWSC will aim to work with Portsmouth FC and away teams on is grouping up our fans at away games.  We have been in contact with Brooke over the last week to establish the best communication lines to do this.

Brooke has reached out to all the teams we have upcoming away games against over the next couple of months to see if we can establish a suitable area to recommend our supporters purchase tickets in.  We will aim to release these details on a game-by-game basis with the Birmingham City seating area details coming out next week after the Charlton game.  So if you wish to purchase away tickets and sit with your fellow supporters it might be worth holding off purchasing tickets until we have announced our seating area.  These details will always be published on Facebook (pinned as featured posts), Twitter, our website and by email to members.

Charlton Away

Our first Championship away game is this Sunday against Charlton Athletic at The Valley.
